BUILDING ENVELOPE SCIENCES
TECHNICIAN
Architectural, Engineering or Construction person with at least 3 to 5 years of related experience in Building Envelope Systems with the following minimum requirements:
Experience:
Experience in on-site building water penetration testing and review and investigation of building envelope failures
Experience in writing reports documenting field conditions of failures
Familiarity with various construction types and systems as well as legacy construction systems
Bachelor of Architecture, Engineering, Building Envelope or Construction Management related degree
Responsibilities:
Technical Support person for the BES team
Working with BES team to develop remedial approaches for solving issues
Development of CAD plans, details, drawings, and specifications for BES work
Field review of remediation work under construction
Field reports and contractor communication
Attributes:
Working knowledge of architectural, engineering, building envelope and construction nomenclature
Solid AutoCAD/REVIT experience
Massachusetts, Stretch Energy Code and IBC Building code experience
Clear and concise communication skills and professional interaction with clients and contractors
Team player with positive can-do work ethic
